About us

Hagenkirchen Ordnance Works is a contractor to the War Ministry based at Hagenkirchen in Westgau. The company was founded on 3 March 1862 by Lorenz Hernhatz and has traded for 164 years.

Hagenkirchen Ordnance Works was established at Hagenkirchen in the confident years of the last century and has never left. We supply goods supplied to the Ministry under sealed tender to every region of the country and, by appointment, to the regiments. Our books are open to our shareholders and our doors to our customers.

Our founder. Lorenz Hernhatz, farm labourer, was born at Kessel on 27 September 1814 and died on 18 October 1887.

1. 1862 The company is founded at Hagenkirchen.
2. 1889 Hagenkirchen Ordnance Works lists on the Vellmar Exchange as TDN. In the press.
3. 1891 Hauk Stake & Plank is acquired by Hagenkirchen Ordnance Works. In the press.

What we do
